Steve and the team investigate a murder of a journalist who was investigating a corrupt politician. They learn that the journalist's investigation has ties to a Navy SEAL who went missing during a mission in Afghanistan. The team starts to unravel a web of lies and deceit as they try to uncover the truth behind the journalist's murder and the missing SEAL.
As they dig deeper, they discover that the corrupt politician has been involved in illegal arms trades, and that the missing SEAL may have been framed for a crime he didn't commit. The team also learns that the journalist had a personal connection to the SEAL and was trying to clear his name as well. They race against time to find the missing SEAL before he is wrongly convicted and to bring the corrupt politician to justice.
Meanwhile, Danny struggles to deal with the aftermath of his brother's death and seeks solace in a support group. The emotions are overwhelming for him, and he is unsure if he'll be able to cope without his family's support.
As the investigation heats up, the team uncovers new evidence that leads them to confront the corrupt politician. However, the politician isn't willing to go down without a fight and uses his power and influence to try and silence the team once and for all. The team must use all their skills to stay one step ahead of the politician and bring him to justice.
In the end, the team manages to find the missing SEAL and clear his name, exposing the true villain behind the criminal activities. Danny finds some closure with his brother's death and the team comes together once again, stronger than ever, to continue their mission of protecting Hawaii.
