Hayate no Gotoku !!, also known as Hayate the Combat Butler, is a Japanese anime series that aired from 2007 to 2013. The show follows the story of a young man named Hayate Ayasaki, who works as a butler for a wealthy and eccentric family. The second season of the show premiered in April 2009 and ran for 25 episodes.
In episode 4 of season 2, titled "You're Like Me," Hayate finds himself in a bit of a predicament. It all starts when he accidentally breaks a school trophy while on cleaning duty. In order to avoid getting into trouble, he asks Nagi, his employer and the daughter of the family he works for, for help. Nagi suggests that Hayate find a way to win a tournament and use the prize money to pay for a replacement trophy.
Meanwhile, Hayate's friend Wataru is having trouble with his love life. He's been rejected by the girl he likes and is feeling pretty down about it. Hayate decides to cheer him up by taking him to a bowling alley for some friendly competition. While there, they run into a girl named Saki, who turns out to be a pretty skilled bowler herself.
Hayate is immediately drawn to Saki's competitive spirit and can't help but admire her skills. He finds himself wanting to spend more time with her, but has trouble expressing his feelings. As luck would have it, Saki seems to be interested in him as well, and the two start to bond over their shared love of bowling.
Back at the mansion, Nagi is struggling with her own feelings. She's jealous of the time that Hayate is spending with Saki and can't help but feel left out. She confides in Maria, the head maid, who advises her to be honest with Hayate about how she feels.
As the episode progresses, Hayate and Saki continue to bond over bowling, with Hayate improving his skills in order to impress her. Meanwhile, Nagi decides to take Maria's advice and confronts Hayate about her feelings. Hayate is surprised by Nagi's honesty, but assures her that his feelings for her haven't changed.
In the end, Hayate and Wataru enter a bowling tournament with the hopes of winning the prize money to pay for the replacement trophy. Saki joins them as well, and the three of them work together to take down their opponents. In a surprising turn of events, Nagi also shows up at the tournament to show her support for Hayate.
The episode ends with the tournament coming to a close, and the group making plans to hang out together again in the future. "You're Like Me" is a heartwarming episode that explores themes of loyalty, friendship, and love, all while showcasing the characters' unique personalities and interests.
