In this episode of House Hunters International, we follow a couple named Sarah and Jake on their journey to find a new home in Ulan Bator, Mongolia. The couple, originally from the United States, have always been fascinated by other cultures and love traveling to new and exotic locations. They have decided to move to Mongolia in search of adventure and a new experience.
We begin the episode by seeing Sarah and Jake arrive in Ulan Bator and immediately begin exploring the city. They are taken aback by the modern amenities and bustling city life, but also notice the cultural differences and unique architecture that make Ulan Bator so special. They meet up with their real estate agent, Bilguun, who takes them around the city to check out potential homes.
Their first stop is a traditional Mongolian yurt, which they are both very excited about. Sarah and Jake love the idea of living in a yurt and fully embracing the Mongolian culture. However, Bilguun explains that yurts are not very practical for year-round living and may not provide the comfort they are looking for. They reluctantly move on to other options.
Next, they check out an apartment complex in the city center. Although the apartment is small, it has all the modern amenities they are used to, like a full kitchen and a private bathroom. However, they both agree that the apartment feels too cramped and wouldn't allow them to fully experience the culture and adventure they came for.
Finally, Bilguun takes them to see a house on the outskirts of Ulan Bator. The house is a good size and has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Sarah and Jake both love the outdoor space, and they can easily imagine themselves spending time outside and going on hikes in the nearby nature reserves. However, they both express concern about not having easy access to the city's amenities, like restaurants and bars.
The couple ultimately decides on a large apartment in the heart of Ulan Bator. Although it's not as spacious as the house they saw, it offers the convenience of being close to all the city's amenities and they love the modern design. They also appreciate that it has a balcony with a beautiful view of the city.
Throughout the episode, Sarah and Jake are shown fully immersing themselves in Mongolian culture. They try traditional Mongolian dishes, attend a local festival, and even take a Mongolian language class. They are both thrilled to be experiencing a new culture and can't wait to explore all the adventure that Mongolia has to offer.
In the end, Sarah and Jake are happy with their decision and excited to start their new life in Ulan Bator. They feel that the apartment they chose will give them the perfect balance of modern amenities and cultural immersion, and they can't wait to continue exploring all the wonders of Mongolia.
