House Hunters Season 2013 Episode 80 First Comes House, Then Comes Marriage in the Chicago Suburbs
- June 16, 2013
As two soon-to-be newlyweds, Kyle and Amanda are searching for a place to call their own in the Chicago suburbs. With a maximum budget of $400,000, the couple is hoping to find a house with ample outdoor space for their beloved French bulldog and a finished basement for entertaining.
Their real estate agent, Cindy, sets up several showings in different suburbs, each with its own charm and appeal. First up is a spacious three-bedroom ranch with a large backyard in the town of Palatine. The couple is impressed with the open floor plan and natural light, but they ultimately decide that the house needs too much updating to fit their taste.
Next, they visit a four-bedroom split-level in the picturesque town of Barrington. While the house provides enough space for their future family, they are hesitant about the location being too isolated from convenient amenities and cultural experiences.
Their third option is a recently renovated Cape Cod-style home in Arlington Heights. With modern finishes and an open-concept layout, this house checks off many boxes on their wish list. However, they are skeptical about the lack of privacy in the backyard and the home's close proximity to a busy street.
After a few days of deliberation, Kyle and Amanda make their decision and put in an offer on one of the homes. Will it be the one they fell in love with or will they surprise themselves and choose one of the other contenders? Tune in to House Hunters to find out.
