House Hunters Season 2017 Episode 6 City Charmer vs. Rustic Home in West Virginia

  • January 6, 2017

In this episode of House Hunters, we travel to West Virginia to follow a couple as they search for their dream home. The couple, Amanda and Scott, have been living in a rental property for some time, and are finally ready to take the plunge into home ownership. The only question is, what kind of home do they really want?

Amanda is drawn to the idea of a rustic home, with plenty of outdoor space and a rural feel. She dreams of a large front porch, surrounded by trees and greenery, where she can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Scott, on the other hand, is more of a city guy. He wants all the amenities that come with city living, including restaurants, shops, and nightlife.

The couple's real estate agent, Sharon, has her work cut out for her as she tries to find a property that will satisfy both Amanda and Scott's desires. Sharon takes them to see a variety of homes, ranging from rustic cabins in the woods to more modern properties in the heart of the city.

The first property they see is a charming rustic cabin in the woods. The home has plenty of character, with a stone fireplace and exposed beams in the living room. The kitchen features a large, farmhouse-style sink and plenty of wooden countertops. Outside, there is a small porch with beautiful views of the surrounding forest.

Amanda is immediately smitten with the rustic charm of the home, but Scott is less impressed. He worries that the location is too isolated, and he doesn't like the idea of having to drive a long distance to get to the nearest grocery store or restaurant. Despite Amanda's protests, they decide to continue their search.

The next property they see is a much more modern home in the city. The house has a sleek, contemporary design, with plenty of large windows and an open floor plan. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, and there is a large deck outside where the couple could entertain guests.

Scott is immediately in love with the modern feel of the home, but Amanda is less thrilled. She worries that the lack of trees and greenery will make her feel claustrophobic, and she doesn't like the idea of having close neighbors. Sharon encourages them to keep an open mind, but the couple remains divided.

The final property they see is a compromise between the two extremes. It's a beautiful home located just outside of the city, with plenty of land and a large front porch. The inside of the home is more modern, with an open floor plan and plenty of space for entertaining. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences, including stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.

Amanda and Scott both love the compromise property, but they still have some concerns. The home is located about halfway between the city and the woods, which means they'll have to compromise on their ideal location. In the end, they decide that the compromise is worth it, and they put in an offer on the home.

Overall, this episode of House Hunters is a great example of the importance of compromise when searching for a home. Amanda and Scott both had different ideas of what their dream home would look like, but in the end, they were able to find a property that they both loved.
