Inside West Coast Customs Season 2 Episode 8, titled "Monster Week," brings a new set of challenges and demands for the WCC team as they take on some of their most monstrous projects yet.
The episode kicks off with the crew getting a surprise visit from famed horror director and writer, Eli Roth. He comes with a unique request for a car inspired by one of his iconic horror films, a car that would not only look great on screen, but also be used in an upcoming movie project. Eli is looking for a car that has just the right balance between creepy and cool, and the WCC team is more than ready to deliver.
The team starts brainstorming and comes up with a concept that is both edgy and classic, taking cues from the original movie and adding their own touch to it. To achieve this look, they use a 1958 Chevy Apache pickup truck as the base and get right to work, stripping it down and building it up from scratch.
As the project progresses, the team is faced with some of the biggest challenges yet. How do they achieve a hauntingly aggressive aesthetic while keeping the car functional? The WCC team does not disappoint, and they rise up to the challenge, delivering a car that is sure to give anyone the chills.
The next project takes the WCC team into the world of motorsports as they take on transforming a car for professional off-road racer, Casey Currie. Casey is looking to upgrade his Jeep Wrangler for the biggest off-road race event of the year, the Baja 1000.
The team begins by creating a custom suspension system with adjustable shock absorbers capable of handling the rough and rugged terrain of the race. They also install a powerful V8 engine, and a custom roll cage to ensure that Casey is safe and secure during the race.
In addition to the mechanical upgrades, the team adds a sleek custom body kit, complete with racing graphics and Casey's signature logo. As the project nears completion, the team takes the Jeep for a test drive, and it's clear that the upgrades have greatly improved its overall performance.
The final project takes the team to the world of four-wheeled beasts, as they work on creating a truck for the ultimate monster truck showdown. The WCC team is tasked with creating a truck that is not only visually impressive, but also packs a powerful punch.
To begin, they take a truck and strip it down to the frame, then build it back up with custom chassis, suspension, and wheels designed to handle the biggest, toughest, and wildest jumps and drops this monster truck showdown has to offer.
With the chassis and suspension taken care of, the team focuses on the truck's appearance, creating a custom wrap and paintjob emblazoned with fierce imagery and the team's logo. Finally, they install a massive V8 engine capable of delivering the power and torque necessary to take on the competition.
As always, the team at WCC delivers impressive results with each project, showcasing not only their creativity and technical expertise but also their ability to push beyond the limits of what's possible. Monster Week is a must-see episode for anyone who loves cars, motorsports, or just getting a good scare.
