Ep 1. The Dead of Jericho

Inspector Morse is a British detective series that follows the sometimes difficult and unconventional investigations of Chief Inspector Endeavour Morse, played by John Thaw. The series is based on the novels written by Colin Dexter.

Morse quickly comes to the conclusion that Anne was murdered, and her death was made to look like suicide in order to cover it up.

With the help of his trusty sidekick, Detective Sergeant Lewis (played by Kevin Whately), Morse works to piece together the events leading up to Anne's death, and identify the killer. As the investigation continues, Morse finds himself increasingly drawn to Nikki Bevan, and she becomes a key part of the case.

Throughout the episode, Morse's dry wit and intellect are on full display, and viewers get a sense of his unconventional approach to police work. He is unafraid to challenge authority and push boundaries in his investigations, even when it puts him in conflict with his superiors.
