iZombie Season 4 Episode 5 Goon Struck

Liv and Clive investigate a murder case involving a professional hockey player named Finn Vincible. The victim is found dead in his locker room, and there is no indication of a forced entry, suggesting that the killer might have been someone he knew. Liv consumes Finn's brain and takes on his personality traits, which include a love for hockey and a tendency towards violence. She also develops an irrational fear of pigeons, which prove to be a hindrance in the investigation.

Meanwhile, Major is struggling to keep the peace between the humans and zombies at the Fillmore-Graves facility. The tensions between the two groups are at an all-time high, and Major is trying his best to prevent a full-blown war from breaking out. His efforts are complicated by the arrival of a group of goons who are brought in to serve as security for the facility. The goons, who are more than a little trigger-happy, make matters worse by attacking a group of humans outside the facility.

Liv and Clive's investigation leads them to a group of hockey players who were on the ice with Finn the night before his murder. One of the players, Charlie, is a violent hothead who clashes with Finn on the ice. Charlie's alibi for the night of the murder is shaky, and Liv becomes convinced that he is the killer. However, when she confronts him, Charlie denies any involvement and reveals that he has an alibi after all.

Undeterred, Liv and Clive continue their investigation and eventually discover that Finn was involved in a secret relationship with his teammate, Joanne. Joanne was married to another man, who had no idea about her affair with Finn. When he found out, he threatened to ruin Finn's career and his marriage. Joanne admits to killing Finn in a fit of rage, and Liv and Clive arrest her.

In the meantime, Major's troubles come to a head when the goons he brought in to serve as security mutiny and take over the facility. Major is taken hostage along with several other humans, and the situation looks bleak. However, he manages to convince the goons to stand down by appealing to their sense of duty and loyalty to Fillmore-Graves. The crisis is averted, but the tensions between humans and zombies remain high.

As the episode comes to a close, Liv and Major reflect on the difficulties they face in their respective roles. Liv struggles with the morality of consuming brains to solve murders, while Major struggles with the difficult task of keeping the peace in a facility full of people who hate each other. They both resolve to continue doing the right thing, even if it's not always clear what that is.
