Ep 7. Don't Hate the Player, Hate the Brain

Liv Moore, the undead and often times brain-eating protagonist of iZombie, returns with her usual wit and sarcasm in season 4 episode 7 titled "Don't Hate the Player, Hate the Brain." Despite her strange appetite, Liv remains determined to use her abilities for the greater good as a member of the Seattle PD's Zombie Crime Unit.

Liv's latest meal comes courtesy of a competitive gamer whose death was ruled a suicide. However, when Liv eats his brain, she discovers that he was actually murdered. The gamer's online presence and competitive nature lead Liv and her team down a rabbit hole of online gaming culture.

At the same time, Liv's ex-fiancé, Major, has his own problems to deal with. He's been tasked with running a new Zombie-only nightclub by his boss, which presents a world of challenges and dangers. Major's past drug addiction also resurfaces, threatening to compromise his position and safety as the new club's manager.

As Liv and Major navigate the complexities of their respective cases, they must also confront their feelings for each other and the past that still haunts them. Meanwhile, Ravi, Liv's best friend and roommate, continues to search for a cure for zombieism, even as his own love life takes a surprising turn.

Throughout the episode, Liv's visions of the gamer's life and the clues she finds on his online gaming platform provide a steady stream of clues for her and her team to follow. Along the way, they encounter a cast of colorful and eccentric characters, including a gamer who sold his soul for online success, and a rival who will stop at nothing to win.

As the investigation unfolds, Liv's own personality begins to shift and transform, influenced by the gamer's competitive spirit and relentless drive. This leads to some hilarious and unexpected moments, as Liv's colleagues struggle to keep up with her rapid-fire wit and over-the-top antics.

In the end, Liv and her team discover the shocking truth behind the gamer's murder and bring his killer to justice. Major also manages to overcome his own demons and cement his position at the new Zombie club. But, as always in iZombie, nothing is ever quite as it seems, and the episode ends with a tantalizing cliffhanger that will leave fans wanting more.
