Jack Irish is an Australian television drama series that revolves around Jack Irish, a former criminal lawyer, and now serving as an investigator and debt collector. Jack manages to find himself in tricky situations which he manages to solve using his intelligence, wit, and a bit of luck. Season 2 Episode 4 called "Episode 4" is an installment that continues the story of Jack Irish and his investigations in the city of Melbourne.

As the episode begins, Jack is approached by a client named Phil, a former criminal who is now determined to leave his past life behind. Phil asks for Jack's help in tracking down a man who owes him money, but before Jack can even begin, Phil is murdered in his own apartment. In an effort to remain undercover, Jack meets with multiple club employees, some of them dancers while others are involved with laundry operations. Jack immediately sees the tensions that lie between the employees, which seems to be tied to the ownership.

Jack eventually befriends the club's bouncer, who gives him valuable information about Shovel's drug operation and the inner workings of the club. But when Jack gets too close to the truth, he is grabbed by Shovel's men. Can Jack escape this dangerous situation? Will he be able to get the information he needs to solve the case and bring the killer to justice?

Meanwhile, Linda's life is turned upside down when she discovers she has been the victim of identity fraud. As a result, Linda finds herself in debt, and with the bank about to foreclose on her house. She turns to Jack for help but realizes that her problem might be too complicated for Jack to solve.

In the end, "Episode 4" delivers a thrilling new chapter in Jack's life, as he works to solve another mystery and help his best friend Linda deal with the problems in her life. With its cast of dynamic characters, engaging storylines, and thrilling action, Jack Irish is a show that is sure to keep viewers hooked from start to finish.
