John Lithgow, Freddie Highmore, and Giveon were the guests of the 27th episode of season 19 of Jimmy Kimmel Live. The show opened with Jimmy's monologue, in which he talks about current events, politics, entertainment news, and jokes about his life.

Then, John Lithgow, the Emmy and Tony-winning actor, came on the show to talk about his role on the HBO series, Perry Mason, in its second season. He discussed his love for playing complex characters, and how he's enjoyed inhabiting the role of Elias Birchard "E.B." Jonathan. Lithgow also talked about his beginnings in theater and his extensive Shakespearean background, and Jimmy even teased him about his role in the classic comedy, "3rd Rock from the Sun."

Next, Freddie Highmore, the star of the ABC series, The Good Doctor, joined Jimmy. Highmore is most known for his role as Norman Bates on the series, Bates Motel. He talked about the challenges of playing a doctor on television, the emotional toll of the pandemic, and how he's managed his long-time career in show business. He also discussed his passion for writing, opening up about his love for short stories and how they've recently influenced his writing process for a novel.

Lastly, Giveon, the up and coming R&B artist, performed his hit song "Heartbreak Anniversary" live on the show. He recently won Best R&B Album at the 2022 Grammys for his debut album "When It's All Said And Done... Take Time." Jimmy introduced him by talking about his skyrocketing career and his collaboration with Justin Bieber, on "Peaches."

Throughout the episode, Jimmy also had several comedic bits, including a sketch in which he had to choose between eating a slice of cake or getting a shot, and another in which he played a game of "This or That" with the audience, choosing between two difficult options.
