Judge Mathis, now on its 23rd season brings in another exciting episode to the fans, Episode 7 focuses on a variety of cases. The Judge, Gregory Ellis Mathis will surely bring on his years of experience in law and justice to provide fair judgement to the parties involved in each case heard in his court.

The first case involves a dispute between two roommates. The plaintiff, a 21-year-old woman, claims that her former roommate, who at the time was renting a room with her, owes her $3,000 for unpaid rent and damages incurred in the apartment. She accuses the defendant of being disrespectful and throwing wild parties that resulted in significant damage. However, the defendant, a 23-year-old woman denies the allegations and argues that she had already paid her rent and had left the apartment in good condition when she moved out. Judge Mathis listens carefully to both parties and demands evidence to support their claims.

Next, the judge is presented a case of a tenant versus his landlord. The plaintiff, a 35-year-old man, says that the defendant, his landlord, refuses to fix multiple maintenance issues in his apartment. He claims that the landlord promised to repair the issues when he signed the lease. But never kept his word. The tenant accuses the landlord of neglecting his request for repairs. The landlord, on the other hand, insists he is doing his best to answer every complaint about his establishment. The Judge calls in a building inspector to assess the conditions in the apartment and determine whether any laws are being violated by the landlord's apparent negligence.

In the third case, the Judge hears from a daycare center owner who is suing a couple for loss of income. The plaintiff asserts that the couple, who had enrolled their child in her daycare, failed to give a notice of cancellation and left without the proper procedure. She claims that as a result, she lost income from a weekly deposit that was given by the couple. But the defendants, a couple who work as designers says, that the daycare center was not giving enough attention to their child and had other issues with medication. They gave the e-program a chance after the initial regular daycare did not work. They voiced concerns and see this as the reason why they stopped taking their daughter to the daycare center. They argue that they were treated unfairly, especially since they had paid in advance for a set duration. The couple insists that the payment was for a week and that they left after a week has ended.

In the final case, Judge Mathis tries to mediate between a man and his ex-girlfriend. The plaintiff, a 26-year-old man, claims that he lent $2,500 to his ex-girlfriend with the promise that she would use it repay the ex-boyfriend who she owed. The plaintiff says that instead of using the money to pay her debt, his ex-girlfriend disappeared and now he can't seem to reach her. The ex-girlfriend, however, tells a different story. She says that no money was lent to her by the plaintiff and that he is merely exacting revenge on her because of their failed relationship. She says that he is harassing her by repeatedly texting and calling, even going as far as creating fake social media accounts to slander her reputation. Judge Mathis reviews the evidence presented and directs the parties on how to handle the situation.
