Descriptive language relating to the episode follows:
In the tenth episode of Killjoys season two, titled "How to Kill Friends and Influence People," the stakes couldn't be higher as the team races against time to stop Level Six from unleashing a devastating attack that could wipe out all life in the J cluster.
The episode picks up where the last one left off, with Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen), Johnny (Aaron Ashmore), and D'avin (Luke MacFarlane) all held captive by their former boss, Khlyen (Rob Stewart). Khlyen reveals that the RAC, the organization that Dutch and her team works for, was founded by six Level Six agents with one goal in mind: to wipe out all life in the J cluster and create a new universe in their image.
As Khlyen reveals more about the Level Six agents and their plan, Dutch and her team realizes that the only way to save the J cluster is to kill the Level Six agents. But with Khlyen's help, they discover that the Level Six agents are protected by a psychic shield that makes them invulnerable to conventional weapons and attacks.
Determined to find a way to break through the shield, Dutch and her team reach out to an old friend, Pree (Thom Allison), who runs an underground bar in Old Town. Pree is an expert in all things shady and he may have the solution they need.
But as the team sets out to execute their plan, they run into a couple of unexpected obstacles. One of them is Alvis (Morgan Kelly), a former monk who has been working with Khlyen to try and expose the Level Six agents. He reveals that Khlyen has been working with the Level Six agents all along and has been manipulating everyone around him to further their goals.
Another obstacle comes in the form of Kendry (Mayko Nguyen), D'avin's ex-girlfriend and a former member of the Nine. She's been hired by the Level Six agents to capture and kill Dutch and her team.
With all these forces working against them, the team knows that they'll have to work harder than ever if they want to succeed. The episode is fast-paced and filled with action, but it also takes time to explore the complex relationships between Dutch, Johnny, and D'avin.
Overall, "How to Kill Friends and Influence People" is an intense and thrilling episode that will have viewers on the edge of their seats. It's a testament to the show's ability to balance action, suspense, and character development, and it leaves a lasting impression long after the credits roll.
