In the second season of Kitchen Impossible, Chef Rocco DiSpirito continues to take on the challenge of renovating failing restaurants and turning them into successful businesses. In episode 7, titled "Bamboo Blowout," Rocco visits a struggling Chinese restaurant in New York City.

The restaurant is owned by a husband and wife team, who have been struggling to keep their business afloat for months. The couple had opened the restaurant just a few months ago, after quitting their previous jobs to follow their dream of owning a restaurant. However, their dream has turned into a nightmare, as they are barely making ends meet, and are facing the threat of bankruptcy.

Rocco arrives at the restaurant to find a chaotic kitchen, with dishes piling up and the chef struggling to keep up with the orders. The menu is a mishmash of traditional Chinese dishes, with a few Americanized options thrown in. Rocco quickly realizes that the menu needs a complete overhaul, as the food is mediocre at best and not up to the standards that diners expect.

To make matters worse, the restaurant's décor is outdated and unappealing. The walls are painted a drab beige, and the carpeting is worn and stained. The only decoration in the restaurant is some cheap Chinese artwork hanging on the walls. Rocco knows that he needs to revamp the restaurant's interior to attract customers and make them feel comfortable.

Rocco's first task is to redesign the restaurant's menu. He meets with the chef, who is resistant to change, and the owners, who are hesitant to invest more money into the business. Rocco convinces them that a new menu, featuring authentic Chinese dishes with a modern twist, will bring in new customers and keep them coming back for more.

Next, Rocco turns his attention to the décor. He enlists the help of a local artist to create a mural on one of the restaurant's walls, featuring bamboo trees and other traditional Chinese motifs. He replaces the drab carpeting with hardwood floors and updates the lighting fixtures to give the restaurant a warmer, more welcoming feel.

Throughout the episode, Rocco faces challenges, including convincing the chef to try new recipes and dealing with the restaurant's limited budget. However, with his expertise and determination, Rocco manages to turn the restaurant around. By the end of the episode, the restaurant is transformed, with a sleek new menu, updated décor, and a satisfied team of employees.

Overall, "Bamboo Blowout" is a fascinating look at the challenges of running a restaurant, and the hard work and dedication required to turn a failing business into a thriving one. If you're a fan of food and renovation shows, Kitchen Impossible is definitely worth watching.
