Watch Hidden Potential

Hidden Potential is a design show on the HGTV Network. The show presents three different homes to prospective homebuyers that they could renovate into their dream home. Homebuyers tour each home with a design expert. With the help of computer-generated graphics, the home's hidden potential is presented to help homebuyers decide if it could be their dream home.

The homes are extremely outdated, in need of updates in the kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, and in most cases, all of the rooms. The sale prices of the homes are significantly lower than that of an updated home. The homebuyers express how they want the home to function to meet their needs. Quite often it is necessary to remove walls to enlarge rooms or add walls to establish boundaries. Based on this information, the experts design a plan of how they feel the home would best serve the clients. Homeowners are amazed with the transformations that are produced with the help of the graphics. The graphics are beautifully detailed, complete with furniture, tile work, carpeting, window treatments, and accessories. These will not be the actual accessories that will be in the completed home; however, it gives the homeowners an idea of what a completed home may look like once the renovations are completed.

After all three homes are presented to the homebuyers; budgets are determined that will cover the costs of the renovations. The homeowners discuss with the design expert which home they feel would best suit them. The homebuyers ponder over which property they wish to purchase and transform into their dream home. Once a decision is made, the home renovation begins.

In the end, the final reveal is presented to the homeowners. They are amazed and grateful to the show for helping them find the hidden potential in their dream home.
