Watch Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness
- 7 Seasons
Anyone who was blown away by Po and his group of fellow Kung Fu masters in the movies Kung Fu Panda 1 and 2 will be delighted with the spin-off animated series. "Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness" follows the movie characters as they help Po follow his destiny as the Dragon Warrior. The show premiered in late 2011 and mirrored the style of the movies. Po's adventures as a Kung Fu master are chronicled in the thirty-minute episodes. The series centers around Po the Panda, an unlikely Kung Fu master. Master Shifu and the Furious Five reluctantly train Po after he is revealed to be the Dragon Warrior. It is foretold the Dragon Warrior will know the true secret to Kung Fu. The Furious Five are fellow masters Tigress, Mantis, Monkey, Crane, and Viper. Po and the Five live in the Jade Palace, taking on the duty of protectors of the Valley of Peace. The laid back and lovable Po has always had a passion for Kung Fu; becoming the Dragon Warrior fulfills a life-long dream. He has a penchant for one-liners, funny catchphrases, and eating tons of food. In the series it is discovered that he has the uncanny ability to learn Kung Fu just by watching it. He learns about Kung Fu and his role as the Dragon Warrior. Po learns how to cope with emotions like jealousy, over-confidence, and self-doubt. He also matches wits against different villains who aim to take over the Jade Palace, destroy Kung Fu, or defeat the Furious Five and Master Shifu. Po is usually successful in thwarting their plans, at times with the help of the Furious Five. Even though the Furious Five use their Kung Fu mastery to help Po defeat his enemies, there are times when Po uses his talent to help them. In several episodes, Po comes to the aid of one of the Five. They might become possessed by a ghost, overtaken by a powerful sickness, or brainwashed by an evil villain. The always helpful Po figures out how to fix the situation. In turn, the Furious Five also learn something about themselves or another quality that makes Po worthy of being the Dragon Warrior.
