La Femme Musketeer is an action-adventure television series that was released in 2004 by Sonar Entertainment. The show is based on the classic story of "The Three Musketeers" by Alexandre Dumas, but it has a unique twist, as it features a female musketeer, instead of the traditional male leads. The show is set in France during the 17th century, and it follows the story of a young woman named Valentine D'Artagnan, who is determined to become a musketeer and defend her country from danger.

Valentine D'Artagnan is the daughter of the legendary musketeer D'Artagnan, who is well-known for his bravery and heroism. She is a spirited and determined young woman who is passionate about swordfighting and has a deep sense of duty to her country. However, because she is a woman, she is not allowed to become a musketeer, as it is a male-only profession.

Despite this, Valentine refuses to give up her dream of becoming a musketeer, and she trains tirelessly with her father to become a skilled swordfighter. Eventually, she is given the opportunity to prove her worth, and she joins a group of musketeers who are tasked with protecting the Queen of France and uncovering a secret plot against her.

The show features a talented and diverse cast of actors who bring the characters to life with their unique personalities and strengths. Valentine D'Artagnan is played by the talented actress Susie Amy, who delivers a strong performance as a determined and fierce young woman who is willing to risk everything to protect her country. The rest of the cast, including Michael York, Roy Dotrice, Nastassja Kinski, and Freddie Sayers, also deliver strong performances that help to create a rich and immersive world.

The show is filled with exciting action scenes, as the musketeers face off against dangerous enemies and fight to protect their beloved France. The swordfighting choreography is expertly crafted, and the use of practical effects and stunts helps to bring the action to life in a believable way.

Aside from the action, the show also has a strong focus on character development and relationships. The relationships between Valentine and her father, as well as between Valentine and her fellow musketeers, are explored in-depth, and the show does an excellent job of showing the complexities and challenges of these relationships.

Overall, La Femme Musketeer is a thrilling and engaging television series that offers a fresh take on a classic tale. It combines action, drama, and romance in a way that keeps viewers hooked and invested in the story. The show's strong cast and expertly crafted action scenes make it a must-watch for fans of the adventure and action genre.

"The year is 1660. Loyalties among the people of France are divided between church and state, Cardinal and King--each of whom employs a private army. The Cardinal (Golden Globe winner G©rard Depardieu, Cyrano de Bergerac) has his guards. The King (Freddie Sayers, Diana) boasts his Musketeers. But there is one Musketeer who stands apart from the rest. She has her mother's stunning looks--and her father's legendary sword. She excels in the art of dance to appease her mother, but Valentine D'Artagnan (Susie Amy, Sirens) wields her true skills in other ways. Her father is Jaques D'Artagnan (Emmy nominee Michael York, Austin Powers), the most famous Musketeer in all of France, and he has taught his daughter well. With a gift of his extraordinary sword and a letter of introduction to Commander Pinot (Roy Dotrice, Amadeus) of the Musketeers, D'Artagnan sends Valentine to Paris to fulfill her dreams. However, there has never been a woman appointed to the rank of a swordsman, let alone a Musketeer to King Louis XIV. To prove her mettle, Valentine joins forces with the three able sons of the elder Musketeers who rode with her father. No sooner does Valentine let her hair down than the new Musketeers are handpicked for a special task. Bandits have commandeered a coach and kidnapped the bride-to-be of King Louis XIV, but the Musketeers soon discover that there is more at stake than the safety of the princess.
