Law & Order: CI Season 4 Episode 16 Ex Stasis

Detectives Goren and Eames investigate the murder of a wealthy businessman who appears to have been killed during a home invasion. The case takes a bizarre turn when the victim's wife is found to have constructed a futuristic "sleep chamber" designed to allow its occupant to go into suspended animation for years at a time.

The detectives soon discover that the chamber was used by the victim as an escape from his stressful life and that his wife, a brilliant scientist, was complicit in its construction. However, when it is revealed that the victim had recently withdrawn a significant sum of money from his business accounts, Goren and Eames must navigate a web of lies and deceit to find out who stood to benefit from his death.

As the investigation progresses, the detectives find themselves in a race against time to uncover the truth before the killer strikes again. With the help of their new captain, Ross, and the resources of the Major Case Squad, Goren and Eames delve deeper into the world of corporate greed and power, ultimately discovering a web of corruption that threatens to bring down the entire business community.
