Legacy Season 1 Episode 3 Blood Relative

Ten years after Caroline Forbes was admitted to the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted, her daughters, Lizzie and Josie Saltzman, come home. However, their welcome is anything but warm. Lizzie and Josie discover that they have inherited the family malady that drives their mother to madness and danger. In this episode, titled "Blood Relative," Josie starts to feel the full effects of her family's curse.

Back at the school, the other students are dealing with their own problems. Hope Mikaelson, the tribrid daughter of Klaus Mikaelson, is still struggling with her feelings for Landon Kirby. Landon, who was believed to be human, was revealed to be a Phoenix in the previous episode. However, Hope's trust issues make it difficult for her to accept Landon's true nature.

Elsewhere, the new headmaster of the Salvatore Boarding School, Dorian Williams, is dealing with a mysterious threat. A pack of werewolves has been causing trouble in the nearby town, and Dorian suspects that they may be targeting the school. He enlists Alaric's help in tracking down the werewolves and putting a stop to their attacks.

As the episode progresses, Josie's condition worsens. She starts to hallucinate and becomes increasingly violent. Rafael, who has been revealed to be a werewolf, uses his powers to try and calm her down, but it's no use. Josie is out of control. In a shocking twist, it's revealed that Josie is not the only one affected by the family's curse. Lizzie begins to exhibit signs of the same illness, and Alaric and Dorian rush to find a cure before it's too late.
