In season 3, episode 2 titled "Hell or Heaven," Mark and Olly venture into the remote jungles of Papua New Guinea to live with the Korowai tribe.

The Korowai are famous for their impressive treehouses, which they build high up in the forest canopy to protect themselves from their enemies, the Asmat tribe. Mark and Olly are tasked with building their own treehouse to sleep in for the duration of their stay. This proves to be no easy feat, as they must navigate dangerous terrain and thick jungle vegetation in order to find a suitable location and gather materials for their structure.

The duo quickly learns that life in the jungle is not without danger. They encounter poisonous snakes, spiders, and centipedes, and must constantly be on guard against the Asmat warriors who occasionally venture into Korowai territory. Despite these challenges, Mark and Olly are welcomed warmly into the tribe, and make close connections with several members, including a young boy named Wawa who takes a particular liking to them.

As they settle into life with the Korowai, Mark and Olly learn about their unique culture and way of life. They witness their hunting techniques, which include using blow darts to kill wild pigs and forest game, and participate in a traditional celebration where they are initiated into the tribe with face paint and dance. They also witness several ceremonies that honor their ancestors and mark various stages in the life cycle, such as birth and death.

However, tensions arise when the Asmat tribe launches a surprise attack on the Korowai village. Mark and Olly are forced to take cover in their treehouse and witness the chaos and violence from afar. The attack leaves the Korowai shaken and fearful, and Mark and Olly must decide whether to continue their stay in the village or leave for their own safety.

Throughout their stay with the Korowai, Mark and Olly are constantly tested both physically and emotionally. They must rely on their own survival skills and the kindness of the tribe to survive in the harsh conditions of the jungle. "Hell or Heaven" is a thrilling episode that offers an intimate look at the lives of one of the world's most remote and fascinating tribes.
