In the second episode of season 1 of Lo Que la Vida Me Robo, titled "Amor Imposible" (Impossible Love), we continue to follow the story of Montserrat Mendoza (played by Angelique Boyer), a young woman from a wealthy family who falls in love with Jose Luis Alvarez (Luis Roberto Guzmán), a humble but honorable man from a poor family.

Montserrat has just returned home from her trip to Europe and is still heartbroken after her failed relationship with a man named Sebastian. However, her father and grandmother are determined to find her a more suitable husband, using their wealth and social status to attract potential suitors.

Meanwhile, Jose Luis is struggling to provide for his family. His father, a fisherman, has fallen ill and cannot work, and his younger brother is still in school. Jose Luis takes on various odd jobs, including painting houses and working in a factory, to make ends meet.

Despite their different backgrounds, Montserrat and Jose Luis are drawn to each other and begin a secret relationship. They meet at a secluded spot by the river and share their hopes and dreams for the future. However, their love is forbidden, as Montserrat's father would never approve of her being with a man of lower social status.

Complicating matters further, there is also a sense of rivalry between Jose Luis and Montserrat's childhood friend, Alejandro. Alejandro, who is also from a wealthy family, has always had feelings for Montserrat and sees Jose Luis as a threat. He tries to sabotage their relationship by spreading rumors and causing trouble.

As the episode progresses, we also see glimpses of other characters and storylines. Montserrat's brother is involved in a secret relationship with a maid, and her mother is struggling with an addiction to pain medication. Meanwhile, a woman named Graciela is introduced, and it becomes clear that she will play a pivotal role in the story to come.

Overall, "Amor Imposible" sets the stage for the many conflicts and obstacles that Montserrat and Jose Luis will face as they try to be together. The episode explores themes of class and social status, as well as the power dynamics at play in Montserrat's family. It also introduces several other characters and plotlines, hinting at the complex web of relationships and intrigue that will unfold over the course of the series.
