To outsmart them, she sews a bell on each of the sleeping cat brothers' collars so that when they try to move, the jingling bells will give themselves away. Over time, Goldimouse becomes more and more daring as the cats fail time and time again to catch her.

As the story progresses, things heat up between the cunning mouse and the cats; however, all the while, the episode maintains that classic Looney Tunes sense of humor that we all know and love. The drawing, the animation, the voice-over, and the slapstick comedy all shine through in this episode.
