Two outdoor enthusiasts, king of survival techniques, and a wilderness guide, navigate a jungle known as Amazon's Atlantis in Lost in the Wild Season 1 Episode 2. With only a basic map and limited resources, the team embarks on their journey. The aim is to find the lost city of Akakor, and in doing so, they must combat intense humidity, the challenging terrain, and the inhospitable wildlife of the rainforest. The hosts, J.J. Kelley and Kinga Philipps, dive into the depths of the forest, exploring the ruins of the lost civilization of Akakor through tales and legends passed down over time. The forest seems to be uncharted territory, and the host's journey unleashes secrets of the forest as they make shocking discoveries. The discoveries include ancient ruins, hidden caves, and relics of an unknown civilization that was likely consumed by the forest.

The first challenge for the team is the brutal heat and humidity of the Amazon forest. The sweat-soaked team is bogged down by the heat's intensity, making it challenging for them to continue trekking through the dense rainforest. The forest is dangerous in every respect, and the team must keep an eye out for poisonous animals and venomous snakes while they progress on their journey.

As they make their way through the thick bushes, they come across an abandoned base camp deep in the jungle. The base is littered with unknown machinery, broken-down equipment, and fragments of what seems to be a laboratory. The base's conditions suggest a recent evacuation, but strange discoveries leave the crew with disturbing thoughts and theories of the unknown operations at the base.

The team also navigates treacherous terrain along the way, which includes crossing raging rivers and crossing rugged terrains, forcing them to navigate through high cliff faces. With the scarcity of food and water, the team must conserve resources as much as possible. Philipps uses her survivalist tricks to live off the natural services in the area, taking the team on an adventure, which involves eating worms in search of protein.

As they venture further into the jungle, they come across a cave system full of carvings and markings on the cave walls, which they believe could be related to the lost civilization of Akakor. The team goes deeper into the cave, uncovering multiple unexplored chambers and revealing missing links that would help them connect all the pieces of the puzzle.

While they explore the cave, they discover that they're not alone. The eerie, adventurous atmosphere is suddenly disturbed when bats start swarming the team, leaving them in chaotic disarray. The team makes a quick escape but finds themselves lost in the middle of the jungle, with no sense of direction.

The climax of the episode takes place as survivalist Kinga Philipps, who's known for her outdoor survival tactics, takes lead in the search for Akakor. She locates an underwater cave system, the city's entrance, which leads straight into the lost civilization of Akakor. The discovery leads the team to uncover secrets held within the walls of the city of Akakor and the possibility of the Atlantean civilization, which is said to have sunk into the ocean.

Lost in the Wild Season 1 Episode 2 takes viewers on a captivating adventure through the Amazon jungle, detailing the survival struggles in one of the world's most challenging environments. With witty survival tips, interesting discoveries, and a glimpse into the legends and folklore of Akakor, the episode entertains, educates, and captivates the senses.
