Ep 22. Three Minutes

As the penultimate episode of Lost season 2, "Three Minutes" follows the story of what happened to the character Michael Dawson after he left the main group of castaways to find his young son. The episode begins with a flashback of what occurred during the 48 days that Michael and his son Walt were separated from everyone else on the island.

The previous episode ended with Michael betraying the main group by shooting Ana Lucia and Libby and freeing the prisoner, Henry Gale. "Three Minutes" picks up with Michael and Gale leaving the main camp and heading towards the Others' location. During their journey, Michael reflects on his guilt for what he's done and his desire to reunite with his son.

Once they reach the Others' camp, Michael is reunited with Walt for the first time since they were separated. The reunion is cut short, however, by the Others' leader, Tom, who demands that Michael bring them Jack, Kate, and Sawyer in exchange for Michael and Walt's freedom. Michael agrees to the deal and sets off to carry out the Others' plans.

Meanwhile, back at the main camp, the remaining survivors are left to deal with the aftermath of Michael's betrayal. They struggle with the loss of Ana Lucia and Libby, and the realization that one of their own had turned against them. Sawyer takes charge and decides to launch an attack on the Others' camp to rescue Michael and Walt, despite Jack's reservations about the plan.

The episode ends with both groups preparing to confront each other, setting the stage for the season 2 finale. "Three Minutes" is a pivotal episode in the series, as it explores the consequences of Michael's actions and sets up the conflict between the castaways and the Others that would continue throughout the rest of the show.
