Ep 10. Space for Six

In this episode of Love It or List It, a family of six is in need of more space. Their current home has only three bedrooms, and they are struggling to fit everyone comfortably. The couple has different ideas about what they want to do with their home, with one wanting to list the property and find a larger home elsewhere, and the other wanting to renovate and stay put.

As always, designer Hilary Farr and real estate agent David Visentin will come up with plans to address both options. Hilary will work within the existing space to redesign the home to make it more functional for the family of six, while David will show the couple new properties within their budget that could better suit their needs.

Hilary’s design plans involve expanding the footprint of the house by raising the roof and converting the attic into a fourth bedroom. One of the main challenges Hilary faces is the small lot size, which limits the amount of space she has to work with.

David, on the other hand, has found three potential homes for the family to consider. The first is a larger home with four bedrooms, an open-concept living area, and a large backyard. The second option is a smaller home but with more land, including a pool and plenty of room for the children to play. The third option is a more modern home with a finished basement that could be used as a playroom.

The couple must choose whether to love their renovated home or list it for one of David’s options. As with every episode, there will be surprises and twists along the way, and the audience will be kept guessing until the end to see what the family decides.
