Ep 9. We Are Family

In the ninth episode of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy season 1, titled "We Are Family," the team is reunited with an old ally, Yondu Udonta. Yondu is a member of the Ravagers, a group of space pirates who have a history with Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord.

When Yondu arrives on the Guardians' ship, the Milano, he is looking for help. But Rocket, who has a soft spot for small, cute creatures, is swayed by the sight of a group of baby Sakaarans that were on the Eclector. The rest of the team eventually agrees to help Yondu, though they are wary of his true intentions.

The group travels to the Collector's museum, a sprawling complex filled with all kinds of strange and exotic artifacts. They sneak in disguised as alien creatures and begin their search for the Eclector. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles and enemies, including the Collector's assistant, Carina, and the giant alien known as Fin Fang Foom.

As they make their way deeper into the museum, the Guardians discover that the Collector has a personal connection to Yondu. It turns out that the two were once close friends, and that Yondu's crew was taken as revenge for a past betrayal. Yondu and the Collector have an emotional confrontation, with Yondu expressing regret for his past actions and the Collector revealing the true reason for his obsession with collecting rare items.

Ultimately, the Guardians are able to retrieve the Eclector and free Yondu's crew. Yondu expresses gratitude to the team, and even offers to join them as a member of the Guardians. The group ultimately decides to part ways with Yondu, but not before they all share a few emotional moments and come to terms with their complicated family dynamics.

"We Are Family" is a standout episode of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, with plenty of action, humor, and heart. The dynamic between the characters is at its best here, with each member of the team getting their chance to shine. Fans of the film series will appreciate the appearance of Yondu, who is played by Michael Rooker in the movies. Overall, this episode is a must-watch for anyone who loves sci-fi adventure and lovable misfits.
