Gary and Tony decide to take a road trip to visit a motorcycle exhibition. Despite Tony's protests about stopping at every pub on the way, Gary manages to drag him away from the first pub in order to keep on track with their journey. However, after a few hours on the road, the dynamic duo accidentally end up on the motorway and soon find themselves lost in an unfamiliar part of the country.
As they search for their way back to the exhibition, they pull over to ask for directions, but their attempts at communication with the locals are hindered by the fact that they don't speak the same language. Finally, they come across a group of men who offer to show them the way, but it later becomes apparent that they have ulterior motives.
Throughout the episode, Gary and Tony's contrasting personalities continue to cause friction between them. Gary is serious about getting to the exhibition and isn't interested in distractions, while Tony is focused on having fun and taking things easy. The two men bicker and argue throughout their journey, with Gary's frustration boiling over at one point when Tony insists on having a pint in yet another pub instead of getting back on the road.
As they get deeper into the countryside, the situation becomes increasingly bizarre. They come across a woman who is inexplicably lying in a field with a bunch of grapes in her mouth, and later stumble across a strange farm where the owner seems to have a strange obsession with Gary and Tony. As they try to escape, they end up causing chaos and destruction in their wake, including accidentally setting fire to a hay bale and causing a herd of cows to stampede.
Finally, they make it to the motorbike exhibition, but not before being chased by a group of angry locals who they've managed to anger throughout their journey. The episode ends with the pair exhausted and battered, but ultimately happy to have made it to their destination.
Overall, 'Road Trip' is a classic Men Behaving Badly episode, full of slapstick humor and ridiculous situations. Despite their bickering, Gary and Tony's friendship is tested and ultimately strengthened by their shared experience, demonstrating that even the most dysfunctional relationships can survive a road trip from hell.
