When they finally reach Trifle Tower, they discover that the bouncing batwave is actually caused by a group of bats playing a game of sound tag. The bats explain that they create the batwave by bouncing sound waves off the tower walls, and that they use it to navigate and communicate with each other.

Inspired by the bats, Messy and his friends create their own bouncing batwave using their instruments and the natural surroundings. They learn how to manipulate the sound waves to create different effects, such as echo and reverb, and even manage to scare away a group of crows with their loud and funky beat.
