Ep 3. Rooting for the Enemy

Milo Murphy's Law season 1 episode 3, titled "Rooting for the Enemy," is set in the midst of a football game between Jefferson County Middle School and their rival school, Ravenswood. Milo and his friends are sitting in the stands, cheering on Jefferson County, while Chad, a fellow student who is known for his bad luck, is rooting for Ravenswood.

As the game progresses, Milo and his friends notice strange occurrences happening on the field. The football players on both teams are slipping and sliding around in the mud, tripping over their own feet, and missing catches and tackles that they would normally make.

Milo, being the perpetually optimistic protagonist that he is, tries to look on the bright side and says that the game is just more exciting because it's unpredictable. However, his friends point out that the strange occurrences are indicative of Murphy's Law, which states that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

Meanwhile, Chad is feeling conflicted. While he wants to support Ravenswood, he also doesn't want to be responsible for causing bad luck for his home school. When his teammates start getting injured and the opposing team starts racking up points, Chad decides that he has had enough. He leaves the stands and heads down to the field to try and change the game.

Once Chad is on the field, he finds himself in the midst of even more chaos. The football players are slipping and sliding around even more, and a herd of wild llamas has somehow made its way onto the field. Chad tries to intervene and stop the llamas from causing damage, but he only ends up making things worse.

Back in the stands, Milo and his friends decide that they need to do something to help their team. They hatch a plan to use their skills and knowledge to counteract Murphy's Law and bring good luck to Jefferson County. They start by creating a makeshift rain cover for the football field, which stops the players from slipping on the mud.

Next, they use their knowledge of physics to calculate the trajectory of the football and give their team tips on how to aim their throws. With each successful play, the team gains momentum and starts to catch up to Ravenswood.

Chad, who has now been tackled by a rogue llama, looks up at the scoreboard and sees that Jefferson County has taken the lead. He realizes that the only reason the team has been able to make a comeback is because of Milo and his friends' efforts.

In the end, Jefferson County wins the game and Chad learns that it's not about which team you root for, but about supporting your friends and community. Milo and his friends feel proud of their part in the victory, but they also realize that they can never completely control Murphy's Law. As they leave the stadium, a giant rock falls from the sky and narrowly misses them, proving once again that anything can happen when Milo Murphy is around.
