Ep 25. Rebirth

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 season 2 episode 25 Rebirth centers around the final battle between the Innovators and Celestial Being. The episode begins with the Innovators launching an all-out attack on Celestial Being’s mobile suit forces. As the two sides engage in a fierce conflict, Setsuna and his Gundam Exia are spurred on by thoughts of his late mentor and friend, Lockon Stratos.

While Celestial Being is able to hold their own against the Innovators at first, the tides quickly turn against them when the Innovator Regene Regetta reveals that he has developed a new system that allows him to control hundreds of Memento Mori weapons at once. With this system, Regene is able to effortlessly annihilate most of Celestial Being’s forces.

Losing hope, the surviving members of Celestial Being begin to contemplate their next move. In a moment of clarity, Setsuna realizes that the only way to defeat the Innovators is to destroy the root of their power: the ELS.

Meanwhile, at the core of the Innovators’ base, Tieria struggles to control the Unicorn Gundam as it begins to merge with ELS particles. With his body being taken over by the ELS, Tieria’s consciousness is transferred to Veda, Celestial Being’s central computer.

As the battle rages on, Setsuna and his Gundam Exia engage in an intense one-on-one fight with Ribbons Almark, the leader of the Innovators. In the midst of their battle, Setsuna has a vision of his past self and comes to the realization that true innovation can only be achieved through understanding and acceptance.

With this newfound realization, Setsuna is able to activate the Trans-Am Burst system for the first time in years. The massive power output from the system destroys Ribbons’ mobile suit and severely damages the Innovators’ base.

As the ELS begin to converge on Earth, Setsuna uses the remnants of Celestial Being’s mobile suits to form a barrier around the planet. This barrier, combined with the GN particles from Setsuna’s Trans-Am Burst, creates a powerful force field that repels the ELS and saves Earth from destruction.

In the end, Setsuna and the other members of Celestial Being successfully defeat the Innovators and save the Earth from destruction. With their mission complete, the members of Celestial Being part ways and disappear into the shadows, leaving the future of the world in the hands of those who remain.
