Ep 24. American Skyper

In the season 6 finale of Modern Family, titled "American Skyper," the Dunphys and Pritchetts are in different parts of the world, but they are still connected thanks to modern technology.

Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) is in Seattle for a real estate conference and is missing his family. He tries to stay connected with them through FaceTime, but technology issues prevent him from having a smooth conversation. Meanwhile, Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen) is left in charge of the house and has to deal with a mishap caused by her teenage son Luke (Nolan Gould).

Jay Pritchett (Ed O'Neill) is on vacation in Mexico with his new wife Gloria (Sofia Vergara) and her family. While there, he tries to bond with his stepson Manny (Rico Rodriguez), but things don't go as planned. He also has to navigate a language barrier when he has a medical emergency.

Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) are in different parts of Missouri for their respective projects. Cam is helping his sister with her upcoming wedding while Mitch is helping out a former colleague with a legal issue. They try to stay connected through the video chat service, Skyper, but they have their own technology issues to deal with.

As the episode progresses, the characters try to overcome their technology hurdles and connect with each other. They learn that even when they are physically apart, they can still be there for each other.
