Ep 21. The Escape

In Modern Family season 9 episode 21, titled "The Escape," the three families are each dealing with their own set of problems.

First, Phil and Claire are trying to find a way to spice up their sex life, but keep getting interrupted by their annoying neighbors. So they decide to take a weekend trip to a hotel, hoping to have some alone time. However, their plans are derailed when they discover that their children have been secretly staying with them in their hotel room.

Meanwhile, Mitchell is feeling unfulfilled in his job as a lawyer and decides to quit and pursue his dream of opening up his own law firm. However, his partner, Cam, is not on board with the idea and tries to persuade him to stay at his current job.

Lastly, Jay and Gloria are dealing with their son Joe, who has become obsessed with a hide-and-seek game on his tablet and refuses to interact with other kids. Gloria decides to take Joe out of the house and introduce him to the joys of playing outside, but their fun is cut short when they get locked in a gazebo in the park.

As the episode progresses, each family faces their own set of obstacles that ultimately lead to a heartwarming conclusion. "The Escape" showcases the unique dynamics of the three family units and highlights the importance of communication, determination, and love in overcoming life's challenges.
