Monday Night Football Season 44 Episode 26 Philadelphia Eagles at Indianapolis Colts
- September 15, 2014
The Philadelphia Eagles face off against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3 of the NFL season on Monday Night Football. Both teams come into the matchup with a 1-1 record and looking to get back on track.
The Eagles are led by quarterback Carson Wentz, who has played well in the early part of the season despite dealing with a number of injuries to key members of his supporting cast. Wentz will look to connect with his favorite target, wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, and get the Eagles' offense back on track after a lackluster performance in Week 2.
On defense, the Eagles have struggled to stop opposing teams from scoring, giving up over 25 points per game through the first two weeks of the season. They'll need to find a way to slow down Colts quarterback Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis offense if they hope to come away with a win.
The Colts, meanwhile, have been led by Luck, who has looked sharp in his return to the field after missing all of last season with a shoulder injury. Luck has thrown for over 450 yards and four touchdowns in the Colts' first two games, but has also been prone to turnovers, throwing three interceptions.
The Colts' defense has also been a bit of a liability, giving up 23 points per game so far this season. They'll need to find a way to slow down Wentz and the Eagles' offense if they hope to come away with a win.
