Towards the Time of Fate is the final episode of My-Hime's first season. The stakes are high as the final battle between the HiMEs and Orphans is set to take place. The HiMEs, led by Mai Tokiha, have united to protect the town and their loved ones from destruction at the hands of the Orphans.

The episode opens with Mai receiving a message from Mikoto stating that they have sighted the final Orphan, Mai rushes to the scene along with the other HiMEs. When they find the Orphan, which is a giant dragon, they realize how dangerous it is and how difficult it will be to defeat it. They decide to form their Childs and begin the battle.

Things quickly get out of hand as the dragon hurts several of the HiMEs. It seems like they have no chance of winning until Nagi arrives on the scene and provides them with a much-needed boost in power.

Meanwhile, Alyssa Searrs, who has been working with Nagi all along, is in an underground laboratory trying to awaken the true Orochi. The true Orochi is said to be the ultimate weapon and would allow Nagi to take over the world. Alyssa manages to awaken the Orochi, but it's not loyal to Nagi as she had hoped.

Back at the battle, Mai been knocked out and Mikoto is badly injured. With most of the HiMEs down and out, it's up to Nagi and his followers to take on the Orochi. However, they quickly realize that they are no match for it and Nagi ends up sacrificing himself to seal it away.

The HiMEs, who are still reeling from the battle, are then attacked by Alyssa, who is now in control of the Orochi. They try to fight her, but they are no match for the Orochi's power. To make matters worse, Alyssa reveals that it was her plan to pit the HiMEs against the Orphans from the beginning, in order to awaken the true Orochi.

Just when all seems lost, the HiMEs are saved by an unexpected ally: Mashiro, the headmistress of Fuka Academy, who reveals that she is actually the Queen of the Obsidian Kingdom. Mashiro then uses her powers to transport everyone to the Obsidian Kingdom, where she reveals the truth about the HiMEs and the Orphans.

In the Obsidian Kingdom, Mashiro explains that the HiMEs are actually part of a ritual known as the HiME Carnival. The HiME Carnival takes place once every 100 years and involves the HiMEs fighting each other to determine who will become the Ultimate HiME and get their wish granted. The Orphans were created to ensure that the HiMEs would fight each other.

Mashiro reveals that she is the one who created the HiME Carnival and the Orphans as a way to keep the Obsidian Kingdom safe from outside threats. She tells the HiMEs that they have a choice, they can either continue fighting each other and risk destroying the world or they can unite and defeat the true enemy.

The episode ends with the HiMEs banding together to face the true enemy, knowing that they will need to work together and put aside their differences if they want to succeed. The fate of the world rests in their hands, and it's up to them to see it through.
