In the season 3, episode 6 of Mysteries at the Museum, viewers are taken on a ride through history as host Don Wildman explores three intriguing tales. The episode begins in Boston, where Wildman investigates the bizarre and deadly Molasses Disaster of 1919. A giant tank filled with sticky molasses ruptured and sent a wave of syrupy death through the streets, killing 21 people and injuring hundreds more. But what caused the tank to explode? And could the disaster have been prevented? Wildman delves deep into the archives to uncover the truth behind one of the strangest tragedies in American history.

The episode then takes a mysterious turn as Wildman examines the case of infamous hijacker D.B. Cooper. In 1971, Cooper boarded a plane in Portland, Oregon, and handed a threatening note to a flight attendant demanding a ransom of $200,000. After collecting the money, Cooper jumped out of the plane mid-flight, disappearing into thin air. Despite an extensive manhunt, Cooper was never found, and his fate remains a mystery to this day. Wildman tracks down the individuals involved in the case, including a former FBI agent who worked on the investigation, to dig deeper into the enigmatic hijacker and his disappearance.

The final segment of the episode explores the alleged curse of Buddy Holly. In 1959, the rock and roll legend was killed in a plane crash along with fellow musicians Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper. But according to some, Holly's untimely death was not just an accident, but the result of a curse placed on him by a vengeful musician. Wildman talks to Holly's drummer, who was supposed to be on the doomed flight but had to drop out at the last minute, as well as a paranormal investigator who claims to have uncovered evidence of the curse's existence. Will Wildman get to the bottom of this chilling urban legend?

As in every episode of Mysteries at the Museum, Wildman brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to each of the three stories. From exploring the science of fluid dynamics to examining eyewitness accounts of the Molasses Disaster, to delving into the FBI's hunt for D.B. Cooper and debunking myths surrounding the Holly curse, Wildman leads viewers on a riveting journey of discovery through some of history's most fascinating mysteries.
