In season 3, episode 9 of Mythbusters entitled "Breaking Glass," the team takes on a variety of myths centered around the fragility of glass.

First up is the myth that a human voice can shatter a wine glass. The team sets up a series of wine glasses with various frequencies being played through a speaker. After several attempts, they finally manage to break a glass using a high-pitched frequency.

Next, they take on the myth that a bullet can break a tempered glass window. They set up a test with a variety of bullets shot at different speeds and angles. While some manage to crack the glass, none are able to break through completely.

The team then moves on to the myth that a bullet can break a car window if shot from inside the car. They set up a test using a car with bullet-proof glass and shoot at it from the inside. After several attempts, they find that it is indeed possible to break the window from the inside.

In the next myth, the team attempts to see if a glass can be shattered by a sonic boom. They set up a large speaker and create a series of sonic booms using explosives. While the glass does crack, it does not break completely.

The team then moves on to the myth that a glass can be shattered simply by using a human voice. They set up a room with a variety of glasses and use the help of a professional opera singer to attempt to break them. While the singer does manage to shatter several of the glasses, it is not with their voice alone.

Next up is the myth that a glass can be shattered by the sound of a violin. The team sets up a variety of glasses with different volumes of water and uses a violinist to play a high-pitched note. While the violin does manage to make the glasses vibrate, none of them shatter completely.

The team then moves on to the myth that a glass can be shattered by a certain frequency played through a subwoofer. They set up a variety of glasses and start playing different frequencies through the subwoofer. While some of the glasses do crack, none of them shatter completely.

In the final myth, the team takes on the idea that a glass can simply shatter due to fluctuations in temperature. They set up a variety of glasses with different temperatures and place them into a warm bath. While some of the glasses do crack, none of them shatter completely.

Overall, "Breaking Glass" is a fascinating exploration into the fragility of glass and the various myths surrounding its breakability. Through a variety of tests and experiments, the team is able to debunk some of these myths while confirming others.
