In season 9, episode 6 of Mythbusters, titled "Mini Myth Madness," the crew is back to tackle some mini myths. The episode begins with Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman venturing into the urban jungle to test whether it is possible to create a functional grappling hook gun out of everyday materials. They go head-on with their prototypes using a hydraulic winch to simulate the weight of a person and see whose grappling hook is the most effective.

Next up, Grant Imahara, Kari Byron, and Tory Belleci tackle an ancient Chinese torture technique that involves bamboo shoots growing through the human body. The myth states that bamboo shoots can grow up to a foot per day, which raises the question of whether they're powerful enough to grow through a human body. The team sets up an experiment to test whether bamboo shoots can grow through a pig, which has a similar density and toughness to human flesh. The experiment shows that bamboo shoots can't penetrate the skin, let alone grow through a human body.

The third myth on the episode's list tackles the question: can a falling bullet kill a person? The trio uses a high-speed camera to capture the velocity of bullets fired in the air and records their terminal velocities. They also use a gelatin dummy to simulate a human body and see whether a falling bullet can penetrate through the skull. The results of the experiment are surprising, and the team concludes that it is unlikely for a falling bullet to cause severe harm to a person.

In the fourth leg of the episode, Grant, Kari, and Tory attempt to create a machine that can walk on water. Inspired by certain insects and animals' ability to traverse water, the team sets out to design a miniature robot that can walk on water similar to these creatures. They design and build different versions of the machine before taking them to a pool to test their effectiveness. The results are very interesting, so tune in to find out what they discovered!

Finally, Adam and Jamie take on a classic western myth about a cowboy who outruns a train while riding his beloved horse. The guys construct a set modeled after an 1880s-style western town and put it to the test. They build a track system and a train that has a set speed and can't go any faster. The myth states that a horse can outrun such a train, so they put it to the test by racing the train and the horse side-by-side.

In conclusion, Mythbusters season 9, episode 6 "Mini Myth Madness" sees the team investigating several intriguing myths using their ingenuity and impressive scientific knowledge. From grappling hook guns to bamboo shoots, falling bullets to robots walking on water, to a cowboy outrunning a train with his horse, this episode is a must-watch for anyone who loves scientific experiments and myth-busting.
