Ep 2. Inside Out

Picking up from its previous episode, NCIS: New Orleans returns with a thrilling new episode titled "Inside Out" in the fifth season. This particular episode revolves around a gruesome murder mystery where one of the most successful sports agents in the workplace is found dead inside of a refrigerator.

The episode starts with the NCIS team investigating the murder scene and quickly realizing that this incident could be connected to a bribery scandal in the world of professional athletics. As the episode progresses, the detectives discover that the victim, Michael Korman, played by guest star Christian Clemenson, was not the most ethical or respectable in his line of work. To further add to the complexity of the case, the team discovers that Korman’s wife had been keeping a considerable amount of secrets as well. This prompts the detectives to dig deep into their personal lives to uncover the real motive behind Korman’s murder.

In between solving the case, the team goes through their own personal struggles. Special Agent Dwayne Pride, played by Scott Bakula, is still dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and struggling to manage the unresolved trauma it brought. Meanwhile, FBI agent Tammy Gregorio, played by Vanessa Ferlito, is trying to come to terms with her recent breakup and contemplating her future.

Despite their personal issues, the team manages to pull together to piece together the clues and bring justice to Korman's death. The episode comes to a close with the killer being apprehended, and the case being put to rest.

"Inside Out" is a perfect balance of intense drama, action, and heart-warming moments. It is an episode that showcases the complexities in a marriage, the darker side of sports agents and the challenges faced by law enforcement officials. The episode also delivers strong performances from the cast which helps keep the viewers engaged.

Overall, "Inside Out", is a must-watch episode for fans of NCIS: New Orleans and detective shows in general. It is a well-written, well-acted and well-directed mystery that does not disappoint.
