Ep 10. Smoked

The NCIS team is back with their 10th episode of season 4 titled "Smoked". In this episode, the story kicks off with Navy petty officer James Powell being found dead in his apartment due to smoke inhalation in what seems like an accidental fire caused by a cigarette. However, the team soon discovers that the fire was not an accident and the petty officer was murdered by someone who made it look like an accident. The team sets out to find the perpetrator of the crime and get justice for the slain officer.

Agent Gibbs and his team start their investigation by identifying a few people who were close to Powell. Among them include his former girlfriend, a sailor who he used to have altercations with, and his roommate who seems to have skipped town after the incident. The victim had connections to a criminal organization known for trafficking drugs, arms, and human beings. Meanwhile, the team works with the NCIS Office of Special Projects in Los Angeles to track down the victim's former roommate, who is now a key suspect in the case. In a tense showdown, the team manages to apprehend the suspect, who confesses to the crime after intense interrogation.

However, not all is as it seems as the team discovers that there was a third party involved in the case - one who had a direct hand in the Navy officer's death. As they work tirelessly to uncover the truth, the team is thrown for a loop when it becomes apparent that the investigation has now attracted dangerous repercussions. The perpetrator is not only willing to kill anyone who stands in their way but is now also targeting members of the team. It's a race against time as the team races to reveal the mysterious third party's identity, expose their motive, and prevent any further loss of life.

The episode features an intriguing plotline with plenty of twists and turns that keep viewers glued to their seats.
