Ep 2. Extended Remote-Control Device

In No Guns Life season 1 episode 2, titled "Extended Remote-Control Device," we see Juzo Inui, our gun-headed protagonist, taking on a job to protect a man named Tetsuro Arahabaki, CEO of the Berühren Corporation. Arahabaki has been receiving death threats, and he's fearful for his life.

Juzo and his partner, Mary, are hired as bodyguards for Arahabaki and are tasked with keeping him safe until the danger has passed. However, things are not what they seem, and Juzo soon discovers that there is more to the story than meets the eye.

As they escort Arahabaki through the city, they encounter an Anti-Extended terrorist group that is looking to take down the Berühren Corporation. Juzo and Mary fight off the attackers, but in the midst of the chaos, they lose track of Arahabaki. Juzo sets out to find him, and in doing so, he ends up discovering a dark secret about Berühren.

We also get a glimpse into Juzo's past as a soldier, and we see how he became an Extended. As a result of his experiences, Juzo has a strong aversion to war and violence. This makes him particularly effective as a bodyguard, as he can assess a situation and come up with a peaceful solution whenever possible.

Throughout the episode, we see Juzo's relationship with Mary grow. She has a spunky and brash personality that clashes with Juzo's calm and collected demeanor, but they work well together. Mary is always quick with a joke or a witty comeback, which provides some much-needed levity to the otherwise serious plot.

"Extended Remote-Control Device" sets up some interesting plot threads for the rest of the season. We know that Berühren is up to something nefarious and that Juzo will have to get involved somehow. The episode also ends on a cliffhanger, leaving us wondering what will happen next.

Overall, No Guns Life season 1 episode 2 is an engaging continuation of the series. The action scenes are well choreographed, and the characters are developing nicely. It's clear that there are still many mysteries to be uncovered, and I'm excited to see where the story goes from here.
