Ep 1. Pilot

In No Tomorrow season 1 episode 1, titled "Pilot," we're introduced to Evie Covington, an organized and cautious woman, who seems to have everything in life figured out, including her career. She's an employee at a large-scale e-commerce warehouse called Cybermart, and her days are filled with routine tasks that she executes with perfect precision.

One day, while at work, she meets a man named Xavier Holliday, who's charming, adventurous, and eccentric. They cross paths when he accidentally boxes his items in the wrong order, causing her to have to go out of her way to help him fix the mistake. Xavier compliments her on her name, stating that it sounds magical, and the two engage in an intriguing conversation. He tells her about his personal philosophy on life, which focuses on living each day as though it were your last, and creating a bucket list of things to accomplish before the world ends.

Although Evie is initially skeptical of Xavier and his beliefs, she's eventually won over by his enigmatic presence. They go on a spontaneous adventure together, breaking into a restricted garden and dancing together under the stars. Towards the end of the night, Xavier reveals that he believes the world will end in eight months and twelve days, a prediction that he has based on a series of calculations and signs. He urges Evie to join him on his journey to complete his list, and together they begin to explore all sorts of new experiences, from flying trapeze to eating exotic foods.

As Evie becomes more enamored with Xavier and his way of life, she's forced to confront the reality of the situation. She's torn between her desire to live in the moment and the safety and security of her carefully regimented lifestyle. Additionally, her friends and coworkers, such as her boss Deirdre, are baffled by her sudden change in attitude, and question whether she's making the right choice by following Xavier.

Throughout the episode, we're also given glimpses into Xavier's background, including his previous relationships and his parents' financial struggles. Although he's clearly a free spirit, it's clear that his carefree attitude is rooted in some personal pain and trauma. Evie's influence seems to be having a positive effect on him, and he's shown to be as smitten with her as she is with him.

Overall, No Tomorrow season 1 episode 1 sets the groundwork for the rest of the series, introducing us to the main characters and their unique outlooks on life. It's a fun and whimsical pilot that sets the tone for the rest of the show, which focuses on the two leads working together to complete Xavier's bucket list and find joy in the little things.
