Ep 4. No Holds Barred

Evie's relationship with Xavier is becoming more and more complicated. While she is usually the type to shy away from confrontation, she can't help but feel frustrated when Xavier undermines her in front of her co-workers at her job. In an effort to assert herself, she decides to invite Xavier to her work event at the museum. However, things quickly spiral out of control when Xavier accidentally starts a fire in one of the exhibits.

Meanwhile, Kareema is trying to get herself out of a similar predicament. Her boss has invited her out to lunch to discuss her performance, but Kareema is not interested in hearing any criticism. She decides to take drastic measures and creates a fake employee evaluation, which paints her in a much more positive light. However, her plan backfires when her boss decides to give her a promotion based on the fake evaluation.

Back at the museum, Evie and Xavier are desperately trying to put out the fire before it spreads to other exhibits. Their plan is further complicated when Evie is caught by her boss and berated for inviting Xavier to the event in the first place. Meanwhile, Xavier attempts to take matters into his own hands by using his survival skills to put out the fire, but he only seems to be making things worse.

As the fire rages on, Evie and Xavier find themselves locked in a bathroom together, where they finally confront the underlying issues in their relationship. While they both agree that they care for each other deeply, they also acknowledge that their differences and their competing beliefs about the apocalypse make things difficult. Ultimately, the two find common ground and work together to put out the fire.

Meanwhile, at work Kareema's promotion is unveiled in front of her colleagues, but she can't help feeling guilty about the fake evaluation. In an effort to come clean, she owns up to her deceit and resigns from her position. However, her boss commends her for her honesty and offers her a new position as Head of Innovation.

As the episode comes to a close, Evie and Xavier have rekindled their relationship, but they are still struggling to reconcile their opposing views about the world's impending doom. Nonetheless, they vow to make the most of their time together and enjoy every moment of whatever time they have left.
