Ep 2. Episode 2

Episode 2 of Northern Rescue season 1 is an intriguing continuation of the family drama series that premiered on Netflix in March 2019. The show is created by David Cormican and Dwayne Hill, and stars William Baldwin, Kathleen Robertson, and Amalia Williamson, among other actors and actresses.

In Episode 1 of Northern Rescue, we meet John West (William Baldwin), a search-and-rescue commander who relocates from Boston to his rural hometown of Turtle Island Bay with his three children after the death of his wife. Episode 2 picks up where Episode 1 left off, with John, Maddie (Amalia Williamson), and Scout (Spencer MacPherson) struggling to adjust to their new home and school.

Throughout the episode, we see the different ways in which each family member is coping with their grief and adapting to their new surroundings. Maddie is struggling to fit in at school, where she's ostracized by the popular girls for her eccentric fashion sense and outspoken personality. Meanwhile, Scout is struggling to adjust to life without his mom and misses her deeply.

As for John, he's still coming to terms with the fact that he's now a single parent and the challenges that come with that. He's also dealing with the guilt he feels about not being able to save his wife, who died of cancer.

At the same time, John is trying to balance his job as a search-and-rescue commander with his responsibilities as a dad. In Episode 2, we see him called to a local lake where a young girl has gone missing. The search is complicated by bad weather, and John puts himself in danger to save the girl.

Meanwhile, the rest of the family is dealing with their own issues. Maddie becomes friends with a boy named Henry (Taylor Thorne), who helps her see that she doesn't need to conform to be accepted. She also has a heart-to-heart with her dad about her mom's death, which helps her come to terms with her grief.

Scout, on the other hand, is struggling with nightmares about his mom's death and feels guilty for not being able to save her. He confides in Maddie, who helps him understand that their mom's death wasn't his fault.

Throughout the episode, we also see the impact that the move to Turtle Island Bay is having on John's relationship with his sister, Charlotte (Kathleen Robertson), who owns the local hardware store. Charlotte is supportive of John and his family, but she's also struggling to keep her own business afloat in the face of competition from a new store in town.

In Episode 2 of Northern Rescue, we see the West family continue to navigate their new life in Turtle Island Bay and come to terms with the loss of their mom and wife. The episode is full of heartwarming moments between the family members, as well as exciting search-and-rescue scenes that keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

Overall, Episode 2 is a strong continuation of the Northern Rescue series that sets the stage for further character development and plot twists in the episodes to come.
