Ep 2. Sailfish Smackdown

Off the Hook: Extreme Catches is an exciting show that follows professional angler and adrenaline junkie, Eric Young, as he travels the world in search of the most elusive and challenging fish around. In season 1, episode 2, entitled "Sailfish Smackdown", Eric heads to the remote waters of Costa Rica in search of the fastest fish in the ocean - the sailfish.

Eric meets up with local charter captain, Andy Moyano, who promises to take him to the best sailfish spot in the area. The two head out early in the morning and immediately begin setting up their gear. Eric is using a custom-made rod and reel with a special lure that he hopes will attract the sailfish. With the help of Andy and his crew, they soon spot a school of sailfish and get their lines in the water.

Eric's first hook-up is a small sailfish, but he quickly releases it back into the water, knowing that he's looking for a bigger challenge. Soon after, he hooks a monster sailfish that puts up an incredible fight. The fish jumps out of the water several times, displaying its beautiful colors and strength. Eric is determined to bring it in, but it's not going to be an easy task.

As the day wears on, Eric hooks several more sailfish, each one bigger and stronger than the last. He's exhausted from fighting these incredible creatures, but he refuses to give up. With each sailfish he catches and releases, he gains a greater appreciation for their speed, power, and beauty.

In addition to the exciting sailfish action, this episode also includes some stunning footage of the Costa Rican coast and surrounding waters.
