In this episode of Pawn Stars: Best of season 1, entitled Trick or Treasure, the team from the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas are once again confronted with interesting and historical items that come their way.

The episode opens with a customer bringing in a unique World War II item- a gunshot wound kit contained within a small, pocket-sized tin. As the name indicates, these kits were used to patch up soldiers on the battlefield with items such as gauze, iodine, and morphine. The customer wants to sell it, but the Pawn Stars must first determine its worth. Rick Harrison, the owner of the pawnshop, examines the kit and is impressed with its condition and the intact contents. He calls in an expert World War II historian to determine the kit's worth and the historian ultimately appraises it as one of the most well-preserved kits he has seen. The customer is pleased with the appraisal, and the Pawn Stars make an offer and add the rare item to their collection.

Next, a man brings a pair of antique silver pistols from the 1700s. The pistols were made in London by a famous gunsmith during that time, and although they have some imperfections (including a missing flint), they have intricate designs on the barrels and handles. The Pawn Stars call in an expert gun appraiser who determines that the pistols are authentic, much to the delight of the owner. However, the expert appraiser's worth estimate is less than what the owner is expecting, so the Pawn Stars must negotiate to find an agreeable price for both parties.

The episode then takes a slightly spooky turn as a woman comes in with a Ouija board that she has owned since she was a child. The Pawn Stars are hesitant to test out the board's purported powers, but they are intrigued nonetheless. They call a paranormal expert to assist them in the evaluation but are informed by the expert that the board itself is not worth much money, although its age does make it interesting. The woman is disappointed with the low appraisal and decides to hold onto the board for sentimental reasons.

Another customer comes in with a gold watch owned by the famous magician Harry Houdini. The watch is a pocket watch with Houdini's initials inscribed on the back, and it also has a few scratches and dents. The Pawn Stars call in an expert appraiser who is an avid Houdini collector and he confirms the authenticity of the watch. He notes that he has never seen this particular watch before, which makes it even more valuable. The appraiser ultimately values the watch and the Pawn Stars make a generous offer.

Finally, a man brings in an antique treasure chest that he claims was previously owned by a notorious pirate. The chest has intricate designs on it and appears to be made of old wood, but the Pawn Stars are skeptical of its authenticity. Rick asks for an expert's opinion, and the expert appraiser notes that although the chest is old, it is not from the right time period to have been owned by a pirate. The man is disappointed but accepts the appraiser's evaluation of the chest's worth.

In the end, the Pawn Stars added a few new interesting items to their collection and emerged from the various transactions with nearly half their money still on hand. The episode's focus on items that carry historical significance and intrigue make it a worthwhile watch for those interested in historical and unusual items.
