"It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" is the story about Linus, Charlie's buddy, belief in the Great Pumpkin. Linus feels that the Great Pumpkin has fallen second to Santa Claus. This causes him such distress that he spends all of Halloween night in the pumpkin patch waiting for the great pumpkin to make his appearance. In spite of his long night, Linus remains convinced that the Great Pumpkin will appear next year. "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" tells the story of sharing with friends and family. After serving a Thanksgiving dinner of toast, candy and snacks to his friends, Charlie realizes he is late to attend his Grandmother's Thanksgiving feast. When he calls her to explain, she immediately invites his friends to her house for the meal. Everyone eats a full dinner and learns valuable lessons about friendship. "A Charlie Brown Christmas" teaches children and adults, alike, the true meaning of the holiday. After finding the only remaining live tree at the tree lot, he brings it back to his friends to decorate. No one is impressed with his selection as it's a baby tree which needs a lot of tender, loving care. After Linus reminds the children about what Christmas really means the children work together to decorate and protect the young tree.
