Phineas and Ferb: 104 Days of Summer! Season 1 Episode 27, titled "The Lake Nose Monster, Pts. 1 & 2", follows the adventures of stepbrothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher as they attempt to uncover the mystery behind a legendary creature known as the Lake Nose Monster.
The episode begins with Phineas and Ferb heading to Lake Nose, a body of water rumored to be home to a monster that has eluded discovery for years. After arriving at the lake, the boys are surprised to learn that their friend Candace has been hired as a lifeguard there for the summer. Candace is initially skeptical of Phineas and Ferb's plans to uncover the Lake Nose Monster, but she eventually decides to help them in their quest.
Meanwhile, across town, Dr. Doofenshmirtz is up to his usual nefarious schemes. He has built a machine that he believes will allow him to control the minds of every person in the Tri-State Area. However, a malfunction causes the machine to instead turn Dr. Doofenshmirtz's own head into that of a pigeon.
Back at Lake Nose, Phineas, Ferb, and Candace set out on a boat to search for the monster. They soon come across a strange object floating in the water, which turns out to be a piece of machinery. The trio realizes that the machine belongs to Dr. Doofenshmirtz, and they begin to suspect that he may be responsible for the existence of the Lake Nose Monster.
As part 2 of the episode begins, Phineas, Ferb, and Candace continue their search for the Lake Nose Monster. They come across a cave near the lake, and inside they find a group of wild animals. The animals have been drawn to the cave by a machine that Dr. Doofenshmirtz has built to control their minds. The trio realizes that the machine is responsible for the sightings of the Lake Nose Monster, and they set out to foil Dr. Doofenshmirtz's plans once again.
Meanwhile, Perry the Platypus, who is secretly a spy for the agency O.W.C.A., investigates Dr. Doofenshmirtz's latest invention. He discovers that the machine is powered by a rare mineral that can only be found in the cave near Lake Nose. Perry must find a way to stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz before he can mine the mineral and use it for more evil purposes.
In the final act of the episode, Phineas, Ferb, and Candace team up with Perry to stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz. They sabotage his machine and chase him out of the cave. The Lake Nose Monster is revealed to be a harmless creature that has been unwittingly caught up in Dr. Doofenshmirtz's scheme.
The episode ends with Phineas, Ferb, Candace, and Perry returning to the lake to enjoy the rest of their summer vacation. They reflect on their adventure and the bonds that they have formed over the course of the summer. The Lake Nose Monster may have turned out to be a hoax, but the memories that the trio has created will last a lifetime.
