In the sixth episode of season one of the classic detective series Poirot, titled "Triangle at Rhodes," the famed Belgian detective Hercule Poirot finds himself embroiled in a complex web of deceit and intrigue as he investigates a murder on the island of Rhodes.

The episode begins with a group of wealthy and glamorous tourists arriving on the Greek island for a holiday. Among them are the beautiful and enigmatic Arlena Stuart, her husband Kenneth, and his teenage daughter Linda. Also on the island is Mrs. Horbury, a wealthy and pushy woman who is vacationing with her daughter and son-in-law.

As the group settles into their luxurious accommodations, it becomes clear that everyone is not as happy and carefree as they seem. Arlena, in particular, seems to be the source of much tension and unhappiness. She flirts shamelessly with other men, including the handsome and mysterious Patrick Redfern, and seems to take pleasure in causing drama and chaos wherever she goes.

When Arlena is discovered dead on a secluded beach, the suspects are many. Was it her husband, fed up with her infidelities? Was it Patrick, the object of her affection? Or was it someone else entirely?

As Poirot begins to investigate, he finds himself drawn deeper and deeper into a complex web of lies, secrets, and betrayals. He must navigate a maze of conflicting alibis, hidden motives, and dark deeds in order to uncover the truth behind Arlena's murder.

Along the way, Poirot encounters a colorful cast of characters, including the hard-drinking and cynical police inspector, Colonel Weston, and the glamorous and flirtatious performer, Rosamund Shane. He must also contend with the machinations of the victim's husband, who seems to be hiding something, and the jealous rage of Linda, who is still grieving the loss of her mother.

In the end, Poirot must rely on his keen intellect, his razor-sharp instincts, and his ability to see through the facades that people present to the world in order to unmask the killer and bring justice to Arlena's death.

Filled with drama, suspense, and the signature wit and charm of Agatha Christie's beloved hero, "Triangle at Rhodes" is a classic episode of Poirot that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats until the very end.
