In the third season of the critically acclaimed series Poirot, episode 3, titled "The Million Dollar Bond Robbery," the audience is transported back to the glamorous era of the 1930s. The show, which is based on the novels by Agatha Christie, follows the adventures of the legendary detective Hercule Poirot, who is once again put to the test to solve a complicated crime.

The episode revolves around a daring robbery of bonds worth a million dollars from a London bank. The organized crime is carried out by a group of masked men who have taken the help of inside man. As soon as the news of the robbery breaks out in the city, a massive search operation is launched, and the police start looking for suspects.

Poirot is reluctantly drawn into the case when a young woman, Sheila Webb, seeks his help. Sheila is a typist, and she has stumbled upon a man's dead body in a deserted house while she was on her way to an appointment. The killer has left behind a cryptic note that reads "13-27-9-23-17-21-13," which means nothing to Sheila or any of the police officers.

Despite the apparent disconnect, Poirot takes a keen interest in the case and is soon convinced of a connection between the robbery and the murder. The detective deduces that the number sequence in the note points towards a code that may reveal the identity of the murderer and the robbers.

As Poirot unravels the mystery, he uncovers a web of deceit, lies, and secret alliances that threaten to trap him in the middle. Along the way, the detective must navigate through the complexities of the politics of the first World War and the repercussions it has had on the present-day.

The episode is sprinkled with red herrings, and the audience is kept guessing until the end. The performances by David Suchet as Poirot and the cast are excellent, and the production values are high, transporting the audience to the 1930s era of London.

Overall, “The Million Dollar Bond Robbery” is a thrilling episode, filled with suspense, intrigue, and action. It keeps the audience engaged throughout, leaving them eagerly anticipating the next adventure of Hercule Poirot.
