However, their boat runs into some trouble, and they are forced to make some quick repairs. They manage to fix the problem and continue fishing, but they are worried that the storm coming in will ruin their chances of catching enough salmon to last through the winter.

Back in town, Big Dave and Hans are busy building a greenhouse. They want to be able to grow fresh produce during the winter months when the weather prevents them from fishing and hunting. However, they run into a problem when they discover that the greenhouse is infested with aphids. They quickly realize that they need to find a solution to protect their plants.

As the day comes to an end, the residents of Port Protection come together to enjoy a community dinner. Mary has managed to make enough bread using the sourdough starter, and everyone is enjoying the porcupine that Sam brought back. They discuss their preparations for winter and share stories about how they have survived in the past. It is clear that despite the challenges they face, the people of Port Protection are resilient, resourceful, and supportive of each other.
